Helping you keep your home is one of Option One’s main
priorities. Our specially trained associates will evaluate
your loan before the foreclosure process begins. These associates
will work closely with you to ensure that a variety of workout
options, such as extended repayment plans, have been explored.
Please visit Home Retention Questions and Answers for more information.
No Incentive Compensation
Our associates do not receive additional compensation based
on the payments they collect. Rather, they receive incentives
as a motivation for achieving a courteous and quality interaction
with our customers, which results in a resolution of financial
issues thus helping the majority of our borrowers keep their
home.
We focus on keeping borrowers in their homes through participation
in Home Ownership Preservation Foundation/Efforts (HOPF/HOPE)
across the nation. This public-private partnership connects
borrowers in high foreclosure areas with free counseling services.
Additionally, Option One loss mitigation specialists work
with local non-profits and HOPE partnerships to educate borrowers.
Option One is one of 12 major mortgage lenders joining forces
with the NeighborWorks ® Center for Foreclosure Solutions.
Focused on foreclosure hotspots, this national partnership
is supported by a national call center and a network of local
non-profit partners to provide face-to-face counseling.
Option One understands that unexpected circumstances, such
as unemployment, reduced income, divorce, disability, or illness
may affect a person’s ability to make their mortgage
payments. If you are behind in your mortgage payments, or
you anticipate getting behind, we want you to be aware of
various alternatives to foreclosure that may be available
to you. You can access information on foreclosure avoidance
and have the ability to complete a financial workout form
online, and our Borrower Assistance Team member will contact
you to determine which alternatives are available. We will
also provide you a list of organizations and phone numbers
to help you stay out of delinquency or foreclosure.
